I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who is passionate about helping others. I have years of experience in raising my three adult children and having the joy of spending time with my two grandsons. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Arts in Counseling from B.H. Carroll Theological Institute.
Life is a journey and sometimes we all need a helping hand to walk with us, support us, and guide us through the tough times. I believe that we all work better when we understand the connections between our mind, body, soul, and spirit. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, parenting, divorce/separation, abuse, addiction, anger, trauma, codependency, and more.
With compassion and empathy, we will work together to develop skills in coping, and decision-making, and make positive changes to improve life one step at a time.
Biblical Scriptures that speak to me:
?
As we develop and mature, the passage from John 8:32, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free,” enables us to establish the core of our existence. Through the accumulation of knowledge and wisdom, we discover the liberation that Jesus alone offers.
?
The inspiration for the name Clay Counseling is drawn from Isaiah 64:8, which states, “O Lord, You are our Father, we are the clay, and You our potter, and all of us are the work of Your hand.” This scripture symbolizes our ongoing transformation into the individuals that God intends us to become.
?
Our soul’s yearning is for completeness, and through life’s growth, wisdom, and transformation, we come to rely on God. According to Psalm 23:3, true restoration of our mind, body, soul, and spirit is found as it declares, “He restoreth my soul.”
?
In Mark 12:29-31, Jesus unequivocally affirms the unity of God and directs us to wholeheartedly dedicate our love to Him, encompassing our body, mind, and soul. He underscores the importance of extending this love to others, proclaiming, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” According to Jesus, these two commandments—loving God and loving others—stand as paramount, surpassing all others in significance.
