Thank you for purchasing or downloading Journey of Life™ resources.

Journey of Life™ worksheets, handouts, assessments, educational materials, workbooks, journals, planners, and other resources are thoughtfully created to encourage reflection, education, healing, growth, and personal development while honoring Christian values and professional counseling standards.

This Digital Product License Agreement explains how Journey of Life™ resources may be used and helps protect the intellectual property of Clay Counseling Services, PLLC.

By purchasing, downloading, printing, accessing, or using any Journey of Life™ resource, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the terms of this agreement.

Copyright & Ownership

All Journey of Life™ resources and original content are the intellectual property of Clay Counseling Services, PLLC, unless otherwise specifically identified.

Protected materials may include, but are not limited to:

Worksheets
Handouts
Assessments
Educational resources
Workbooks
Journals
Planners
Digital downloads
PDFs
Graphics and illustrations
Logos and branding
Product images
Product descriptions
Website content
Faith-based educational materials
Counseling and psychoeducational materials

Purchasing or downloading a Journey of Life™ resource grants you permission to use that resource according to the applicable license. It does not transfer ownership, authorship, copyright, trademark rights, or other intellectual property rights.

Understanding Your License

Journey of Life™ resources are offered as individual digital resources.

Each resource is licensed according to its intended use.

Personal Use

A Personal Use License is included with the purchase or authorized download of a Journey of Life™ resource unless otherwise stated.

Professional Use

If you intend to provide or use a Journey of Life™ resource with clients, patients, students, group participants, ministry participants, or others as part of your professional services, you must obtain a Professional Use License for that individual resource unless professional use is expressly included with the resource.

A Professional Use License applies only to the specific resource for which the Professional Use License was purchased or granted.

Purchasing a Professional Use License for one Journey of Life™ resource does not grant professional-use rights to other Journey of Life™ resources.

Personal Use License

The Personal Use License permits one individual purchaser or authorized downloader to:

✔ Download the licensed resource

✔ Print the resource for personal use

✔ Reprint the resource for personal use

✔ Store the resource on personal devices

✔ Use the resource for personal reflection, education, growth, or study

✔ Use printed copies within the purchaser's immediate household for nonprofessional purposes

Personal Use License Restrictions

A Personal Use License does not permit:

✘ Professional or commercial use

✘ Providing the resource to clients, patients, students, group participants, or ministry participants as part of professional services

✘ Sharing the original digital file with others

✘ Emailing or electronically distributing the resource to others

✘ Uploading the resource to shared cloud storage or shared drives

✘ Posting the resource online or on social media

✘ Selling printed or digital copies

✘ Distributing copies to friends, coworkers, organizations, churches, schools, practices, or other professionals

✘ Removing copyright, trademark, attribution, or branding information

✘ Claiming ownership or authorship of Journey of Life™ materials

Professional Use License

A Professional Use License expands the permissions of the Personal Use License for one individual professional and one specifically licensed Journey of Life™ resource.

The Professional Use License is intended for professionals such as:

Licensed Professional Counselors
Licensed Professional Counselor Associates
Marriage and Family Therapists
Clinical Social Workers
Psychologists
Other mental health professionals
Coaches
Pastors
Chaplains
Ministry leaders
Case managers
Educators
Other helping professionals

Professional titles listed above are examples only. The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that use of Journey of Life™ materials is appropriate within their own professional role, qualifications, scope of practice, ethical requirements, and applicable laws.

What a Professional Use License Allows

A Professional Use License permits the individual license holder to:

✔ Use the specifically licensed resource within their own professional practice or services

✔ Use the resource with their own clients, patients, students, or participants when appropriate to their professional role

✔ Print copies of the licensed resource for individuals they personally serve

✔ Reprint client or participant copies of the licensed resource as needed

✔ Use the licensed resource during counseling, coaching, educational, ministry, or other appropriate professional sessions

✔ Provide a printed copy to an individual receiving services from the license holder

✔ Provide an electronic copy of the licensed resource directly to an individual receiving services from the license holder when reasonably necessary for that individual's personal use

✔ Store the licensed resource on the license holder's own secure professional devices

✔ Maintain the resource for the license holder's ongoing professional use

There is no per-client licensing fee. The individual professional may use the licensed resource with multiple individuals they personally serve, subject to the terms of this agreement.

Electronic Delivery to Clients or Participants

A Professional Use License permits reasonable electronic delivery of the specifically licensed resource directly to an individual receiving services from the license holder.

For example, a professional may securely email or electronically provide a worksheet to their own client for completion or personal use.

Electronic delivery does not permit:

✘ Posting the resource to a public website

✘ Posting the resource on social media

✘ Uploading the resource to a publicly accessible resource library

✘ Placing the resource in an organization-wide or practice-wide shared resource folder for unrestricted use

✘ Providing the editable or source file, if one exists

✘ Giving recipients permission to redistribute the resource to others

Client, student, or participant copies remain copyrighted Journey of Life™ materials and are provided only for the recipient's individual use.

One Professional — One License

Professional Use Licenses are issued to an individual professional, not automatically to an entire business, counseling practice, church, school, agency, organization, department, or team.

Each professional who independently uses or distributes a Journey of Life™ resource must have their own Professional Use License for that resource unless Clay Counseling Services, PLLC provides written authorization for broader use.

For example:

If one counselor purchases a Professional Use License for a Journey of Life™ worksheet, that counselor may use the worksheet with their own clients.

The counselor may not provide the digital resource to another counselor so that the other counselor can distribute or use it with their own clients.

The second counselor must obtain their own Professional Use License for that resource.

Professional Use License Restrictions

A Professional Use License does not permit:

✘ Sharing the original digital resource with coworkers or other professionals

✘ Giving the digital resource to another counselor, therapist, coach, pastor, educator, or professional for their independent use

✘ Uploading resources to shared office, agency, church, school, or organization-wide drives for unrestricted staff use

✘ Posting resources to websites or social media

✘ Selling or reselling printed or digital copies

✘ Charging separately for the Journey of Life™ resource itself

✘ Including the resource in a paid course, workbook, membership, subscription, resource library, publication, or product without written authorization

✘ Modifying the resource for resale or redistribution

✘ Removing copyright, trademark, attribution, or branding information

✘ Claiming ownership or authorship

✘ Creating substantially similar materials for resale by copying Journey of Life™ content, wording, structure, graphics, or design

✘ Transferring the Professional Use License to another person

Professional Use Licenses are non-transferable unless otherwise authorized in writing by Clay Counseling Services, PLLC.

Free Resources

Some Journey of Life™ resources may be offered free of charge or at a nominal price that is discounted at checkout due to website or e-commerce platform requirements.

Unless otherwise expressly stated, free resources remain protected by copyright and are subject to this Digital Product License Agreement.

Receiving a resource free of charge does not place the resource in the public domain and does not grant unrestricted copying, sharing, redistribution, resale, or professional-use rights.

Unless the resource specifically states that professional use is included, free resources are provided under the Personal Use License.

Professionals wishing to use a free Journey of Life™ resource professionally must obtain the applicable Professional Use License when one is required.

Intellectual Property

Clay Counseling Services, PLLC retains all ownership rights in Journey of Life™ intellectual property.

Nothing in this agreement transfers ownership of Journey of Life™, its resources, designs, branding, copyrighted content, or other intellectual property.

The purchaser or license holder receives only the limited right to use the applicable resource according to the terms of the license obtained.

Prohibited Uses

Unless specifically permitted under a Professional Use License or authorized in writing by Clay Counseling Services, PLLC, you may not:

Share original digital files
Redistribute Journey of Life™ resources
Give digital resources to friends, coworkers, or other professionals
Upload resources to websites
Upload resources to publicly accessible or unrestricted shared drives
Post resources on social media
Sell printed or digital copies
Include resources in another publication, workbook, course, product, membership, or resource library
Modify resources for resale or redistribution
Remove copyright or branding information
Claim authorship or ownership
Copy or reproduce Journey of Life™ materials for the purpose of creating competing or derivative commercial products

Modification of Resources

Journey of Life™ resources should generally be used in their original form.

Reasonable modifications necessary for accessibility or an individual's specific needs may be made by a licensed professional for use with that individual, provided that:

The modification is not sold or redistributed
Copyright and attribution information remains intact when reasonably possible
The modified resource is not represented as an original work created by the license holder
The modification does not create a new product for distribution or commercial use

Permission to make an accessibility or client-specific modification does not transfer copyright or create ownership rights in the modified material.

Educational & Professional Disclaimer

Journey of Life™ resources are educational and psychoeducational tools designed to support personal growth, counseling, coaching, ministry, education, reflection, and related activities.

They are not intended to provide a diagnosis or replace individualized professional judgment.

Journey of Life™ resources do not replace professional counseling, psychotherapy, medical care, psychiatric treatment, legal advice, crisis intervention, or emergency services.

Use of a Journey of Life™ resource does not create a counselor-client, therapist-client, healthcare provider-patient, legal, or other professional relationship between the user and Clay Counseling Services, PLLC or the resource's creator.

Professionals using Journey of Life™ resources remain solely responsible for determining whether a particular resource is appropriate for the individuals they serve and for using the resource within their professional qualifications, scope of practice, ethical obligations, and applicable laws.

Faith-Based Content

Some Journey of Life™ resources contain Christian, biblical, or faith-based content.

Faith-based resources are intended for individuals who choose to engage with Christian or spiritually integrated materials.

Professionals are responsible for determining whether faith-based content is appropriate for the individuals they serve and for obtaining any consent required by their professional standards, ethical obligations, workplace policies, or applicable laws.

License Violations

Unauthorized copying, sharing, redistribution, resale, or other use outside the permissions granted by this agreement may constitute infringement of Clay Counseling Services, PLLC's intellectual property rights.

Clay Counseling Services, PLLC reserves the right, as permitted by applicable law, to:

Terminate licensing privileges
Revoke permission to use Journey of Life™ resources
Refuse future licensing or purchases
Request removal of unauthorized copies
Pursue available legal remedies
Seek damages or other relief available under applicable law

Termination of a license does not transfer ownership of any Journey of Life™ intellectual property to the license holder.

Updates & Revisions

Journey of Life™ resources may occasionally be updated, revised, expanded, replaced, or discontinued.

Purchasing or licensing a resource does not guarantee access to future versions, revisions, replacement products, or newly created resources unless specifically stated at the time of purchase.

A Professional Use License applies to the resource identified at the time the license is obtained and does not automatically provide professional-use rights to other Journey of Life™ resources released in the future.

Changes to This Agreement

Clay Counseling Services, PLLC may update this Digital Product License Agreement as Journey of Life™ resources, licensing options, or business practices evolve.

The current version of the Digital Product License Agreement will be maintained on the Clay Counseling Services website.

Material changes will apply prospectively to purchases and licenses made after the effective date of the revised agreement unless otherwise required or permitted by law.

Agreement to Terms

By purchasing, downloading, printing, accessing, or using Journey of Life™ resources, you acknowledge that:

✔ You have read this Digital Product License Agreement.

✔ You understand the license applicable to the resource.

✔ You agree to comply with the terms of the applicable license.

✔ You understand that purchasing or downloading a resource does not transfer copyright or ownership.

✔ You understand that a Personal Use License does not permit professional distribution.

✔ You understand that a Professional Use License applies only to the specifically licensed resource and individual professional unless otherwise expressly stated.

✔ You understand that unauthorized copying, sharing, redistribution, or resale is prohibited.

✔ You understand that violations may result in termination of licensing privileges and other remedies available under applicable law.
